Survey Buddy > Overview

Types of surveys you can create

There are various types of surveys that you can create with Survey Buddy.

Logged in single submission: The user must be logged in to the website to complete this survey. Only one submission is allowed per user. The survey will be saved against the logged in users contact record.

Logged in multi submission: The user must be logged in to the website to complete this survey. Multiple submissions are allowed per user. The survey will be saved against the logged in users contact record.

Unauthenticated single submission: A unique link must be sent to each contact which contains their Contact Key. This allows them to complete the survey without being logged in, but with the added benefit of still recording the survey against that contact record. Only one submission is allowed per user.

Note: The Contact Key is a combination of 36 letters and numbers that is unique for every contact (referred to as a GUID). You can get the Contact Key from the NetContactData, NetContact or NetContactBasic business objects.

Unauthenticated multi submission: Same as above, however multiple submissions are allowed per user.

Anonymous submission: This is a truly anonymous survey, which means the user does not need to login and also the submissions are all stored against the same contact ID. You must specify the contact ID within the Survey Buddy Display iPart configuration.

Quiz: You can setup a quiz using either of the five survey types above. A quiz survey allows you to select correct answers and scores for each question. You can also specify a pass percentage in the setup of the survey, to determine whether the user passed or failed.
You can also set a timer at the page or survey level.
