Image Sizes
Pseudo Code products typically use background images instead of standard image tags. Images used in this way can be displayed in different display formats without having to create new images. As such, we usually recommend using images that are larger than the box in which they would be displayed.
Please note that this also means edges of the image may not always be visible. As such it is recommended to not include text on any images.
Dimensions
Most banners using images of 1920px wide by 800px high should appear correctly with some cut-off.
We recommend images that are around 1600px wide by 1000px high for most images where you are not sure how the image would be used.
With these dimensions the same image can be easily co-opted for banners, backgrounds and cards.
For images that will never be used full-width, our recommendation is 600px wide by 400px.
We generally build our products with a 3:2 image ratio in mind.
A well optimised image should be less than 1 Mb with these dimensions.
Resolution
Images should, ideally, be 96dpi.
Images at 72dpi will also work but may appear slightly blurry on high-resolution mobile displays.
