The chatbot
Some websites also offer a conversational assistant. It opens from a button, usually in the corner of the page, labelled Ask AI or with your organisation's own wording.
How to use it
- Click the button. A window opens with a greeting.
- Type your question in the box and press Enter or Send.
- The answer appears with a numbered list of the pages it came from. Each opens in a new tab.
- Ask a follow-up in plain words. The chatbot remembers the conversation while the page is open.
Close the window with the ×, the Escape key, or the button you opened it with. To start a fresh conversation, reload the page.
When it cannot answer
If nothing on the website answers the question, it says: "I couldn't find that information on this website." Try the search box, or contact the organisation.
