Testing without affecting your reports
Searches your own staff make while testing would otherwise count as member activity in your reports.
- Open any page with the search on it, adding
?cbs_internal=1to the end of the address. For example:https://www.yoursite.org/search?cbs_internal=1 - Search as normal. Your searches are still recorded, but left out of every report.
The mark lasts 24 hours in that browser. Repeat it at the start of each testing session. To end it early, open a page with ?cbs_internal=0.
Never email or share a link that includes ?cbs_internal=1. Whoever opens it drops out of your reports for a day.
