Why a page is, or is not, in search

The Documents screen lists everything search holds from your website, and can explain any page.

A page that is in the list

Click the "…" on its row and choose Where does this page show?. It answers in plain words, for example:

  • This page is in search and visible to everyone.
  • It is in search, but only members can see it.
  • It is in search, but only for people who are signed in.
  • Someone on your team removed this page from search.

It also says who can see the page and what to do. It only reads, and changes nothing.

A page that is not in the list

  1. Use the Page not in this list? box above the table.
  2. Paste the full web address and click Why not?.
  3. It tells you whether we passed the page over and why, or have never come across it, and what to do.

Finding pages

Filter by title or address, by Type or by Access. The status filter shows Active pages by default. Choose Hidden, Deleted or Removed automatically to see pages that are out of search. Removed automatically means an exclusion rule, a page that no longer exists, or one iMIS no longer publishes.
